I’m the owner and lead photographer behind Nitty Gritty Photography. I’m a horse girl through and through, a storyteller at heart, and usually happiest somewhere arena-side with a camera in my hand.
Nitty Gritty was built from my love for the moments that aren’t always perfectly posed. The dirt, the movement, the emotion, the little in-between moments that actually tell the story. Whether I’m photographing a horse and rider, a wedding day, or your family exactly as they are, I want your photos to feel like you.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me around the horses, spending time with my family, or somewhere on the road headed to the next show.
For me, photography isn’t about making everything look perfect. It’s about capturing the nitty gritty of it all, because those are the moments worth remembering.

I’ve always had a camera nearby, and somewhere along the way, it became more than just a hobby. Photography gives me the chance to slow down, connect with people, and preserve the moments that deserve to be remembered.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me exploring a hiking trail, planning another national park trip with my husband, Zach, or spending time at the barn with my horses. At home, life revolves around our three cats. My faith, family, horses, and love for the outdoors are some of the biggest parts of who I am.
With a background in marketing and photography, I love blending creativity with storytelling to create images that feel natural, genuine, and true to you. Whether it’s a wedding, a horse show, or time spent with your favorite people, I want your photos to bring you right back to how those moments felt.
